Subtitled Tuesday: 'Zagreb Stories vol 3' & 'Mustang'
On November 24th our regular screening program 'Subtitled Tuesdays' (with English subtitles included) will present a Croatian film 'Zagreb Stories vol 3' (original Croatian title: 'Zagrebačke priče vol. 3') at 7:15 pm and award-winning film 'Mustang' (Croatian title: 'Mustang') at 9:15 pm.
'Zagreb Stories vol 3', a third volume of the successful portmanteau film produced by Propeler Film, is an omnibus comprised of six short films, each taking place at the time of a different national holiday. The film segments are directed by Vlatka Vorkapic, Petar Orešković, Matija Vukšić, Ivan Salaj, Radislav Jovanov Gonzo and Danilo Šerbedžija.
'Mustang', Deniz Gamze Ergüven’s debut, is a powerful portrait of female empowerment. It follows a story about five free-spirited teenaged sisters in rural Turkish area. 'Mustang' is a 2015 LUX prize winner.
Note: 'Subtitled Tuesdays' program takes place in Cinema Europa's big hall on every Tuesday, except when there are being hosted various film festivals, promotions or other events which are not part of Cinema Europa's regular annual film program. Screenings included in this program are always marked in our screening schedulge with a caption Subtitled Tuesday (HR & ENG subtitles).
