Subtitled Tuesday: 'Let the Sunshine In'

On March 27, our regular screening program 'Subtitled Tuesday' (with English subtitles included) will present the unconventional romantic comedy 'Let the Sunshine In' ('Un beau soleil intérieur', 2017), directed by French director Claire Denis and starring Juliette Binoche. Screening starts at 7 p. m.

Isabelle, Parisian painter, divorced mother, is looking for love, true love at last. Her love affairs with married millionaires, gallery artists, curators, actors or even her ex-husband, display an oscillating process of search for a “bright sunshine”. The film is inspired by Roland Barthes’s seminal text A Lover’s Discourse: Fragments from 1977. 'Let the Sunshine In' premiered at Cannes Film Festival in the Directors’ Fortnight section where it won the SACD Award.
