Subtitled T-days: 'The Salesman'
On Thursday (17 August) our summer screening program 'Subtitled T-days' (with English subtitles included) will present the Oscar-winning Iranian drama 'The Salesman' ('Forushande'), directed by Asghar Farhadi and starring Taraneh Alidoosti and Shahab Hosseini. Screening starts at 6:30 pm.
Forced to leave their ruined home, Rana and Emad, an Iranian couple in the middle of rehearsals for Arthur Miller's play 'Death of a Salesman', rent an apartment from their fellow actor. Not knowing that the flat once belonged to a women of bad reputation, who had many „clients“, they move in. By a series of unfortunate circumstances, one of the clients stops by to the apartment one night while Rana is alone in the bathroom. Consequences of this event, will completely disrupt the couple’s life and their peace of mind. Emad is determined to find the perpetrator over his wife's traumatized objections, balancing the thin line between love and hate, revenge and forgiveness.
During the summer, every Tuesday and Thursday from 29 June until 2 September, screenings at Cinema Europa's Grand Hall will have English subtitles alongside the Croatian ones.
